Art Exhibit Submissions Begin!

Germantown Public Library 2nd Annual Art Show 2024-2025

Friday, December 13- Friday, January 31, 2025

The Germantown Public Library will be presenting an Adult Art Exhibition. This exhibition is open to all adults 16 & up. All mediums of art are accepted, including photography & sculpture. The exhibition will open on Friday December 13, and run through Friday, January 31. Opening reception will be held Friday, December 13 from 6-8PM, and all participating artists are encouraged to attend.

 

Submission Guidelines:

1.    All artwork should be original (no reproductions). Artwork should have been completed within the last five years.

2.    Wall hanging art must be framed and properly wired. No saw- tooth hangers. No hanging work over 25lbs.

3.    All artwork submitted must be appropriate for a family setting. No nudity or offensive material will be permitted.

4.    For submission, please email jpg or PNG files of your artwork in an email to: mpope@gtownlibrary.net. Image files should include the title of the artwork. In the email, please provide details for each of the works, i.e. title, medium, and size (height x width) incl frame (if framed). Ex- Title 1: Oil 5”x7”, Title 2: Pastel 8”x10”, etc. You may submit up to three pieces of art for consideration.

5.    Please submit your image files by Thursday, October 21, 2024 and email to: mpope@gtownlibrary.net

6.    If accepted, you will be contacted directly through email.

7.    All accepted artwork is to be dropped off in person. No mail ins. Please bring completed Accepted Artist & Information form with art.

•     Friday, October 11, 2024- Art Show announced and submissions begin

•     Friday, October 31, 2024- Submissions end

•     Monday, November 4, 2024- Art acceptions announced

•     Thursday, November 14, 2024- Art drops off begins

•     Saturday, November 30, 2024- Art drop off ends

•     Friday, December 13, 2024- Art show opens and reception, 5-8PM

•     Friday, January 31, 2025- Art show ends

•     Saturday, February 1- Saturday, February 15, 2025- Art pick up
