Germantown Public Library Art Show 2023- 2024

The Germantown Public Library will be presenting an Adult Art Exhibition. This exhibition is open to all adults 16 & up living in our community and the Miami Valley. All mediums of art are accepted, including photography & sculpture.
The exhibition will open on Friday, December 1, and run through Wednesday, January 31. Opening reception will be held Friday, December 1 from 6PM to 8PM, and all participating artists are encouraged to attend.
Any sales of artwork will need to be handled between the purchaser and the artist. Germantown Public Library will not be responsible for conducting or handling sales. All artwork is to remain hanging for the duration of the show.
Submission Guidelines:
1. All artwork should be original (no reproductions). Artwork must have been completed within the last 2 years.
2. Wall hanging art must be framed and properly wired. No saw- tooth hangers. No hanging artwork over 25 lbs.
3. All submitted and accepted artwork must be appropriate for a family setting. No nudity or offensive material will be permitted.
4. For submission, please email jpg or png files of your work in an email to: mpope@gtownlibrary.net. Image files should include the title of the artwork. In the email, please provide details for each of the works, i.e. title, medium, and size (height x width) incl frame (if framed). Ex- Title 1: Oil 5”x7”, Title 2: pastel 8”x10”, etc. Please also submit pricing if your work is for sale. You may submit up to three pieces of art for consideration.
5. Please submit your image files by Tuesday, October 31, 2023 and email to mpope@gtownlibrary.net
6. If accepted, you will be contacted directly through email.
7. All accepted artworks are to be dropped off in person. No mail ins.
8. If a piece of artwork included in the exhibition sells, purchases will need to be made directly between the artist and person buying the art. Germantown Public Library will not handle any sales.
Timeline for Germantown Public Library Art Show
· Submissions begin Friday, October 13, 2023 & end on Tuesday, October, 31, 2023
· Artist acceptance notification- Friday, November 10, 2023
· Art drop off Friday, November 17- Saturday, November 25, 2023
· Art Show opens and Artist Reception Friday, December 1, 2023, 6PM- 8PM
· Art Show Ends, Wednesday, January 31, 2024
· Final day for artist pick- up Friday, February 10, 2024
